The Manchester was an RAF bomber which entered service in November of 1940 with 207th Squadron. The design was sound but the Vulture engines were troublesome. Engine failures, fires and unserviceability made it unpopular with crews. AV Roe was quick to solve this problem and wasted no time in replacing the Vulture with the Merlin - creating the Manchester Mk III - the prototype Lancaster. Main vac airframe parts with clear parts and injection molded details. Comes with full decals. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Experience with vacuform kits is highly recommended.
