The incredible Silhouette custom automobile is one of the most recognized and famous customs of all time. Bill Cushenbery of Cushenbery Custom Shop finished the car in 1963. That same year, he entered it in the 1963 Grand National Roadster Show and won first prize - a trip for two to Europe. Bill believed that a car should be a car, and the Silhouette was fully operational. It was originally equipped with a Buick engine, but in 1967 was replace with a Ford 427. Electrical switches and motors operated the power bubble top, hood, trunk, headlights and blowers. The car was stolen in 1983 and has not been recovered. The kit is well detailed and can be built one of two ways - original or further customized.
