1/87 R8 Comet C. & E.I. (Chicago and Eastern Illinois) 40' Class XA Wooden Sheathed Outside Braced Automobile Box Car - HO Scale Wood and Metal Kit Exc++ Wood old Comet was a very famous manufacture of flying stick and tissue as well as solid aircraft models. What is less well known is that Comet produced HO equipment during the HO boom of the late 1930s/1940s. This is an excellent kit from that period. The kit features precut and shaped wooden roof, underside and frame, metal ladders, roofwalk, grab irons and other small parts, and detailed, heavily embossed and pre-decorated cardstock sides and ends for C. & E. I Railraod. Features very well drawn full size plans. This kit has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.
