Monogram A-37 Dragonfly - USAF or South Vietnam AF, 1/48, 5486

Still factory sealed. Dated 1992 and nicely detailed for that time. A-37s served as close support aircraft in Vietnam. The Dragonfly carried a nose mounted minigun that fired 6000 rounds per minute and had a large variety of underwing stores.

Early 1960s hardbox of this very historical ship. Full-hull model is well detailed for that time and features a factory copper painted hull below the waterline (in 'near mint' condition), detailed deck fittings and deck houses, display stand, sail, blocks and other rigging material, extensive step-by-step rigging instructions and more. The hull alone measures 16.25 inches long. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. The Harriett Lane was built in 1858 and named for President Buchanan's niece. The cutter was 180 feet long with a 30 foot beam and displacement was 670 tons. Armament consisted of 3-9 inch Dahlgrens and 1-30 lb Parrot Rifle. She was built at a time when steam was not fool-proof, so she is rigged for full sails. Harriett Lane served as the Presidential Yacht, the fired the first shot of the Civil War. She chased down blockade runners until January 1, 1863 when she was attacked by five Confederate Gun Boats and boarded. She was captured and renamed the Lavinia and was used as a blockade runner. Near the end of the war she caught fire at sea, and put into Havana Harbor. Federal forces took her again and rebuilt her in 1869 as the bark 'Elliot Ritchie.' She was abandoned at sea in 1884.

1964 issue with fantastic framable box art by John Steel. This is an early issue that has the factory painted copper hull below the waterline. Condition of the factory paint is 'near mint.' Large and highly detailed model measures 36 inches long and 22 inches high when assembled. Features 20 crew members, full deck details, preformed rat lines, decals, flag sheet and excellent instructions for assembly and rigging. Includes all required rigging thread, blocks and chain. The kit is molded in black, dark brown and ivory/white. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals, building instructions and rigging diagrams. Includes instructions and special booklet 'The Cutty Sark And The Days Of Sail.'

Highly detailed full-hull model with hundreds of pieces and three frets of photoetched brass parts. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes flag sheet and instructions. The Danton was the lead ship of her class and displaced 18,318 tons fully loaded. She had a good speed of 19.2 knots and a very heavy mixed armament typical of the early 1900s pre-dreadnoughts: 4 x 12", 12 x 9.4" and 16 x 3" guns. Danton was launched on June 4, 1909 at Breast and entered service on June 1, 1911 in the Mediterranean Squadron. The German submarine U-64 sank her on March 19, 1917 off Sardinia; the wreckage was discovered in 2009 by a geological engineering company.

There is a large and comprehensive Blue Angels decal sheet that includes all markings and yellow stripes for your choice of aircraft (Numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4). Never started. Very rare kit from 1957. The box is in exceptional 'near mint' condition with brilliant color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape, price tags or tears, no fading and no stains. The only flaws are a very light crease at the upper left (hard to see, even in pictures) and very light, general wear. Well detailed kit for that time and a big improvement over many of the Aurora aircraft and car models. Features main station with separately molded doors and windows, station signboards, light fixtures, rain gutters, downspouts and ground base. Also includes the waiting platform which features benches, weight scale, suite case, hat box, trunks, packing cases, light fixture, gutters and downspouts and base. Molded in a 'stone gray' and dark 'roof brown.' Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. The instructions are in 'near mint' condition. Please note that Aurora did not included decals with this kit.
