Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Very attractive 1930s float plane. Contains markings for Czech Air Force. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. And thank you to Ales Pakosta for the following information- The actual use of the S-328 floatplane was quite unique. It was used as a training target tug plane during the Czechoslovak Anti-Aircraft Artillery maneuvers in contemporary Yugoslavia, in the Boka Kotorska (Bay of Kotor, now in Montenegro). In fact, it was not for naval artillery training but was done in this way so that shells fired from shore fell into the sea to prevent damage on the land. As there was no appropriate airfield nearby, the target tug aircraft had to operate from the sea surface. As a result, about three aircraft were modified for this task from land-based light bomber-scout biplane. They replaced the classic fixed undercarriage with a pair of floats purchased from the British Short company. The seaplanes remained in use for a several years in this special role. The land-based versions of the S-328 (which can be built from the kit as well) were very popular in the Czechoslovak Air force in the mid thirties; many were seized by Luftwaffe in 1939. The last known combat use of these machines came in 1944 during the Slovakian National Uprising, when their pilots had to fight such planes as Messerschmidt Bf109G.

Top Flite MIG-15 JIGTIME - Flying Aircraft, A-2

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Many companies tried to produce fully prefabricated flying model kits that would really fly. Of all these attemps, only Top Flite succeeded with the late 1950s 'JIGTIME' flying rubber free-flight model series. The Jigtime series were highly prefabricated 3D (not profile), all balsa models with no tissue. The tissue, rib and spar method was eliminated and it is built off of central jigs with all parts factory pre-painted with a colorful design. Includes vac canopy, launcher skid and rubber band. Reportedly flies at over 50 miles per hour...and since it is a Carl Goldberg design, it probably flies well. Appears to be very close to 1/48 scale. The kit has not been started and is in mint condition inside. No parts have been punched out of the sheets and the printing is clear and crisp. Complete with all parts and colorful instructions featuring Topsy and Flitey - your animated building assistants.

Monogram White Wall Drag Slicks - Custom Accessories For 1/8 Scale Cars, 1/8, AK206-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

The tires and their whitewalls are mint, as they left the factory. Never used and complete with instructions. The clear cellophane window on the back is in mint condition. In an attempt to make the superb but very expensive 1/8 car molds pay off, Monogram issued some parts separately as accessories for any larger car models. The entire line came out in 1963 and consisted of AK201-59 Six Carb Assembly, AK202-59 Oval Gas Tank, AK203-79 Drag Race Set, AK204-79 GMC Blower Set, AK205-79 Chrome Wheel Set, AK206-100 White Wall Drag Slicks and AK207-79 White Wall Tires. Sales were very weak because all of the 1/8 scale car kits were very expensive for that time, so and the line was discontinued.
