Markings are from the listed squadron in June of 1943 based out of Duxford England. Upon reaching operational status with the Razorback, they began long range escorts of B-17 and B-24 bombers into Europe. Well detailed kit features full cockpit, optional position canopy, complete engine with removable cowling doors, optional position landing gear, and rotating prop and wheels. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals are 100% intact but have light staining on the backing paper. I would grade them only 'fair' and if you built this kit, be prepared to furnish your own decals.

1998 Revell-Monogram re-issue of the classic Monogram "Four Star" model. This model features a novel retractable landing gear system: when you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Also has movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals for two colorful aircraft, sliding canopy and instructions for rigging. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Decals are in 'mint' condition. NOTE: the instructions are high quality photocopies. The box has damage as shown on the upper right.
