Special issue with a very large & colorful decal sheets for both of the Bicentennial aircraft listed. Very highly detailed kit with 197 pieces. Features many PE parts, all very fine recessed panel lines, detailed ejection seats, full cockpits, optional boarding ladder and optional position speed brake, optional position swing wings and leading edge slats and trailing edge flaps, optional position canopy, detailed gear wells, drop tanks, weapons pylons and more. Never started. Many of the smaller parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the ones not in bags have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. The box displays better than the 'good' grade but is rated as such because of damage to the upper right side. The decals are 'near mint'. The instructions have a stain at the top but it does not interfere with use of them for assembly of the model.

Rare first issue hardbox from the late 1950s. Very high quality full-hull kit for that time. Features fully detailed deck, one piece hull, nine individually elevating 16 inch guns, rotating main and secondary turrets, fully detailed forward and aft island structures with radar, gun directors and range finders, individually molded 20mm guns with shields, helicopter, full rudder and propeller detail, flag sheet and full decals including draft markings. NOTE: this kit has minor and very neat subassembly. The lower hull plate is glued to lower hull ('excellent++' quality) and the two 'stand ball' halves are assembled to 'excellent+' quality. There is no other assembly. The hull below the waterline is painted red to 'excellent++' quality. There is no other painting done. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, flag sheet, 'near mint' condition decals and instructions. NOTE: the box would grade higher than 'excellent' but is rated as such because there is a 1" tape tear on the long lower side.

1968 issue hardbox issue and a nice kit for that time. Features recessed panel lines, full interior with rear bulkhead, couch, chairs and console, cockpit with chairs, instrument panel, control yokes, forward bulkhead and clear windows. Includes optional position landing gear and colorful decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and includes all parts, decals and instructions. The Jet Commander was the jet-powered follow-on to the famous Aero Commander twin private aircraft. But shortly after 1121 delivery began in 1965, Rockwell bought Aero Commander. The 1121 was competition for the Rockwell Sabreliner business jet in the same class, so Rockwell sold the Jet Commander to IAI. Famous nicknames assigned to the early 1121s included the familiar 'ground pounder', 'lead sled' and more unique 'Jet Commode'. Initial releases under IAI were called the 1123. Improvements to the 1123 design lead to the IAI 1124 Westwind powered by Garrett 731 fan engines. I won't recount here all of the nicknames for the IAI Jet Commanders...but the most printable include "Bagel Bomber" and "Yom Kippur Clipper." Legend has it that these molds were lost and/or destroyed in a train wreck. Monogram bought Aurora's molds and was transporting them to the Monogram factory when the accident happened.

Designed in 1957 by Vic Cunnyngham the Space-Rod evolved from Sal Tabibi's Spacer and Ron St.Jean's Ramrod. The design inherited the best qualities of both models and set 10 free flight records. Although not Nostalgia legal, the Space-Rod with a TD .049/.051 (flown to Nostalgia rules) was the NFFS one-design National competition in 2001. 60 laser cut parts. 48" span and 298 sq. in area.
