Kit features optional position landing gear and cockpit hatch, boarding ladder and pilot in the boxart pose. Molded in correct high-gloss white plastic and clear plastic. Never started. Inside the kit is as new with all the small parts still sealed in the factory 'crinkle' bag. Still factory sealed. 'Boy Craft' Cellovision issue from the late 1950s. Box has the yellow oval 'Lindberg' logo on top hanging tab. Dramatic Ray Gaedke box artwork. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. After the war, Lindberg and Olsen had a strong hand in early United States injection molded kit development. Please see the article located on this website about early USA plastic kit manufacturers.

Aurora Martin B-26D Marauder - 'Aurora Line' Logo Famous Fighters of All Nations Issue, 1/46, 371-259

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

Sold

Mid-1950s issue of the popular kit. Please note that this kit has the 1955 Aurora Line rectangular color logo on the box and on the instructions. Molded in silver and clear. With Aurora's practice of not wasting boxes, instructions, decals or even older parts, this kit contains the newer large clear 'triangle' stand and Tatem Company decals with a triangle logo for the stand. The kit has not been started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. When Aurora moved to the West Hempstead plant, they planned a series of very large bombers. All kits released up to this time had been fairly small. Aurora's instincts were correct, and the B-26, B-25 and B-29 were a big sales success. The first issue box art was done by Jim Cox and was only used for about one year. This is the second issue box art and the more famous of the two. The issue after this one retained the same box artwork but had the 'Famous Fighters' in the oval Sunburst logo.

Please note the box damage at the lower right; the damage extends down (and gets worse )on the lower and right side panels as well, hence the low box grade.

Aurora North American B-25 Mitchell Medium Bomber, 1/46, 373-249

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+++

Sold

Rare 1964 issue in exceptional condition. Of all the B-25s, this John Steel artwork variant shows up the least. The box is exceptional with like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape or price tags and no fading or litho pulls. The only flaws are very light edge/corner wear and very small, short creases. The big near-1/48 scale kit is molded in gloss silver and clear and includes the large clear triangle-based stand. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and and instructions. Even the original tissue paper is included.

Aurora Boeing B-29 Superfortress - Playcraft Issue, 1/76, 372

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

Molded in silver and clear, with the very large clear 'Triangle-World Map' stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals are 'excellent++' with the only flaw being slight yellowing. This kit has arguably the most dramatic and fanciful B-29 artwork from the "Golden Era" of modeling. Responding to market information that boys wanted larger kits, Aurora introduced the B-26 followed by the B-29 and B-25, all of which sold well for many years.

For the time, this was an excellent kit with fine reviews.
