1972 'Big A' issue in amazing, investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition. The original owner carefully opened the kit but left the shrink wrap on the top, which kept it safe. This is the largest scale Hustler released by Aurora. (The other two are 1/96 and the ex-Comet 1/175). The colorful and dramatic box art is from an unknown artist. The model is molded in silver & clear and with the correct large black 'Tripod' stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed but the seal has splits at the left side. This model features 'Struct-O-Speed' fully prefabricated construction, all die-cut balsa parts, detailed instructions, propeller and more. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes "BMW" logo tank insignia and instructions. MK Modelle was a West German model kit and toy manufacturer. They had an extensive line which included many rare antique cars; in some cases, these are the only kits ever made of those historic automobiles.
