Very rare. This is a solid wood model kit from the 1940s. It features two sheets of printwood, blocks and balsa stock, color insignia, fully formed wood wheels, sandpaper, high quality plans with templates for the fuselage and wings, some text instructions and even painting tips. Never used and complete. Supreme Scale Models were made by the Steve Patti Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Still factory sealed. Hard-to-find scale model of this historical 1970 Japanese space satellite and launch vehicle. The Ohsumi is 1/20 scale and includes a display stand. The Lambda L-45-S rocket is 1/150 scale and includes a complete operating launcher which doubles as a display base. Ohsumi was the first Japanese satellite and was launched from Kagoshima Space Observatory on February 11, 1970. Japan was not allowed to develop any sort of guidance techniques due to restrictions on military development, so they had to go to 'indescribable pains' to create new rocket systems and equipment.

These early 1950s models were a new concept designed compete with the 'solid' scale models of the time. Instead of the usual tedious carving and sanding, Guillow's advertised on the box side that "The Die-Cut Parts Go Together Like Magic!" This are all-balsa kit and no tissue is needed. Features all die-cut parts on sheets of balsa, wood stock, other details as required and comprehensive text step-by-step instructions, full size drawing, exploded drawing, cut out insignia and more.

Original issue 'S' hardbox is dated 1958 and is in excellent condition. Not the 1990s reissue. Very nicely detailed and molded for that time featuring moving cranes and main gun turrets, separately molded AA armament, detailed Martin PBM-5 Mariner Seaplane and more. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: while all parts are present, one yardarm is broken off the fore kingpost and is missing. Easily replaced with stock plastic or pulled sprue. NOTE: the decals are present but in 'poor' condition due to bug damage. Instructions are 'good++' and have no bug damage. The 1950s "S" USS Norton Sound molds were modified to create this kit (which made any reissue of the Norton Sound impossible).

Rare model dated 1939 that measures 12 inches in length (overall) when assembled. This was a deluxe kit for this size and that time. Features a beautiful and correctly molded wood composite hull that is completely shaped and finished (and in amazing 'Near Mint' condition), quality balsa printwood, two sheets of printed, thick cardstock (for decks, etc), all required hardwood mast and yard stock, thin bamboo for finer details and a factory envelope of smaller fittings. The molded hull is like new; it is 100% intact, not warped and has no repairs. Like all Ideal ship kits, the plans are of very high quality and include full-size top and side elevations, many detail drawings, text instructions, parts list, detailed painting guide and very good rigging details. There is no assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and plans present. NOTE: one deck is cut to 'excellent++' quality from a sheet. No other parts are cut from the sheets.
