Pocher made the finest automobile models ever created. The detail and working parts on these long out-of-production, big 1/8 scale kits is amazing. This kit is a prefect reproduction of the original car that won 1st place at the 1907 Grand Prix de France with an average of 113.612 KPH with Felice Nazzaro as the pilot. The prototype of this car was used with the original drawings to create this model. It has 823 parts of plastic, brass, steel, leather, iron, rubber, copper, aluminum and other materials. Features include super detailed engine, opening hood, complete interior, all pilot controls, operating steering, working suspension, operating steel drive chains and more. The follow sub assemblies are built to the quality in (): block, oil pan and drain plug (3 parts, professional quality), magneto assembbly (professional), radiator (4 parts, professional), handle to engine crank (2 parts, professional), radiator cap to radiator band (2 parts, professional) and the "F2" decal is applied to the radiator front (professional). Very nicely molded with base and features stupendous, smelly stogie, detailed personable pelican, finely sculptured features ("charming - debonair"!), six pack, crushed cans, clam and more. The poem on the instructions really puts this into perspective with Hodad's '...dirty hair and greasy fingernails...and messy trails.' The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. In 1962, Bill Campbell thought that kids may be tired of the same old modeling subjects, and he created the Weird-Ohs, which lead to the Silly Surfers. Of course it was not that simple - it never is. Please read Bill's own account of the Weird-Ohs on this website. Regardless of the path, the Weird-Ohs became an overnight sensation that helped launch the 'monster' and the 'figure' phase of modeling.
