Rare 1st issue early 1950s small hardbox in 'excellent ++' condition. Has like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, light wear as shown, circle logo and Ray Gaedke artwork. The box almost seems to small for this large 1/48 scale kit - and it is a tight fit. Molded in the correct early light gloss gray and clear. There are panel lines but very minimal rivet detail; later issues had heavy rivet detail added. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This kit started as a basic 1/48 scale model with full landing gear, rockets and bombs. Surface detail was minimal Lindberg modified it in the mid 1950s with extensive rivet detail. in the late 1950s, they modified it again to a motorized version with the batteries in the stand and a kit electric motor in the nose. Classic kit from the late 1950s. 'Excellent+' condition box with dramatic box art by Ray Gaedke. Color and gloss are as new with the only flaws being very light general wear and two closed corner splits. If you have built this model, then you know the kit goes together very nicely and is very well molded and detailed for the the 1950s. It features movable rudder, elevators and ailerons, rotating and elevating gun turrets, retractable main landing gear and tail gear, crew members, good cockpit detail for that time, rotating props and wheels and a large, clear adjustable display stand. Inside, the kit has never been started and is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

First issue early 1950s U-Ma-Kit from Brooklyn factory. Kit is completely correct for the first issue, molded in high-gloss gray with no rivet detail, no landing gear/missiles and correct instructions and ecals. Also includes correct Brooklyn stand. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Stand has a 3/4 inch by 1/4 inch missing chip on the lower edge.

Very rare first issue from the early 1950s. When Aurora moved to the West Hempstead plant, they planned a series of very large scale bombers. All kits released up to this time had been small. Aurora's instincts were correct, and the B-26, B-25 and B-29 were a big sales success. This box art was done by Jim Cox and was only used for about one year, making it very rare. The kit has never been started and is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, large clear stand, instructions and decals.
