The box top calls this a P-51D which is incorrect. The instructions inside correctly call it a F-51D. Very nicely molded kit. Features very fine recessed panel lines, detailed cockpit and gear wells, optional position canopy and landing gear and optional canopy, bombs or drop tank. The model as never been started. Profile Series kit with decals for all three aircraft. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s. Initially, Airfix marketed in the USA through MPC. The kits were molded in England and shipped to the USA, where MPC added the box, decals and instructions. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued with their own models.

Late 1960s Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. This model is nicely detailed and has a tree of chrome parts and clear parts also. The box states that it can be converted to a 'road racing' or slot car. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. NOTE: one very small bumper brace on the body has broken off and missing - the other side is intact so one can be scratch built from stock plastic.

The famous mutiny ship of Captain Bligh and Fletcher Christian fame. Ideal builder. This 1971 issue is from the original molds of the superior 1950s 'S' kit. Revell's early ships were highly detailed and finely molded; the Bounty was no exception. Kit comes with preformed ratlines, vac sails and full rigging instructions. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including flags, sails and instructions.

MPC did a very nice job marketing these kits - the box sides contain interesting ship history, and the instructions include specifications and a large, fold-out illustrated engagement map with battle details.

Scale Flight Model Company in Bloomington, Indiana, USA was dedicated to releasing authentic reproductions of the finest "Dime Scale" flying model (stick and tissue) kits from the 1930s/40s. Dime Scale models used to sell for a dime in the 1930's, hence the name. They are actually box scale, but as a general guideline, they usually had a wingspan of 16 inches and have simple and light construction. "Dime Scale" models are now a class flown in some competitions. Kit consists of contest grade printwood, contest quality strip wood, machine cut balsa propeller, the best Japanese tissue, wooden wheels, competition bushed nose plug, brass thrust washers, prop shaft, prop freewheeler, FAI rubber strip motor and a copy of a genuine dime scale plan that was used in the 1930s-1940s. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Heller Amiot 143 Bomber, 1/72

Late 1950s/early 1960s high gloss box top 'L' style issue with wrap around full box artwork and yellow-backed Heller logo. Very nicely molded and detailed. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The Amiot 143 design was first flown in 1934 and was ordered into series production with the first deliveries in August of 1935. A very capable aircraft for it's day, it was obsolete but still in service with 5 bombing groups when WWII broke out. Brave air crews attacked not only night targets in Germany proper but made daylight raids on bridges at the Sedan during the Blitz.

KVZ AMD Mercure (Mercury) 100 - 'Air Inter', 1/100

Still factory sealed. Rare model in exceptional condition. KVZ was the logo used by this East German kit manufacturer from 1969 to 1973. During this time, some fantastic Cold War kits were produced of Russian Aeroflot and Warsaw Pac Airliners as well as Military Helicopters and Aircraft. This is the large scale (1/100) Mercure in Air Inter markings. The Mercury airliner was the result of a Dassault marketing study in the late 1960s that said that the market would evolve for a short ranged jet aircraft with 130 to 160 seats. The first prototype flew in May of 1971. The kit is molded in gloss white, clear, black and silver. Mold quality is very good and details are raised and recessed.

1972 K&B Collectors Edition issue. This kit is from highly improved molds and includes the terrain display base. Features cockpit detail, Browning machine gun, Pratt & Whitney Wasp radial engine, two 116lb aux bombs, under-wing aux fuel tank, pilot and mechanic figures and rigging instructions. Never started. 100% inventoried and complete with all parts, decals and instructions. K&B Manufacturing was a Division of Aurora Products Corp and was located in Downey, California.
