Still factory tape sealed. Limited production kit. Contains photoetched details. The small Ar-231 was designed as a scout/recon aircraft to be carried on U-Boats in a water-tight hangar. Design restrictions made the Ar-231 very small and underpowered. Six prototypes were built and extensively tested. The aircraft proved to be a handful even in calm weather. Would look great with a modified Revell 1/72 U-Boat kit.

Still mint in the factory seal. Dated 1963 and from the larger (1/125 scale) of the two ex-Comet molds. Kit features cockpit and cabin clear windows and full landing gear and a 'tanker' rear end and flying boom (although the box art does not show it). Molded in gloss gray and clear. This model was given a clear Aurora two piece 'triangle world' stand, unlike many of the other Comet kits which only had a modified version of their original stands included. Of course this is not the production KC-135 but a model of the Boeing prototype.

Hard-to-find limited issue dated 1996. This is an excellent model of the later all-jet Shinden design. Features full cockpit, detailed landing gear wells, very fine recessed panel lines and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The amazing Shinden (the original propeller driven prototype) was a radical design and the first canard aircraft in Japan. The basic design was first tested in the MXY6 motor glider with a 22 hp engine in 1943. The tests were considered a success, and design of the J7W1 began in June of 1944. Various configurations were tried, and the prototype had a rear mounted 2000 hp engine, 6 blade propeller, 20 degree sweep back to the wing, two vertical stabilizers and four nose mounted 30mm cannon. It flew two weeks before the end of WWII but never saw combat. The Japanese were quick to realize the jet engine advantage and designed a jet powered version which is this model; however it remained on the drawing board and the war ended before a prototype could be built.

Second issue hardbox from roughly 1960. This issue used the same dramatic box artwork as the original issue 'S' kit and is molded in the same colors - white, light wood tan and dark wood brown. Very well detailed and molded like all of the early Revell sailing ships. Features full hull with display stand, detailed deck fittings and houses, separately masts and yards arms, separately molded belaying pins, excellent deadeye assemblies, lifeboats, Revell's superb preformed rat lines, rigging instructions, rigging material and vacuform billowing sails. The sails are in amazing 'near mint++' condition. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. This 295' bark rigged sailing ship was built in 1936 in Bremerhaven, Germany, for the German Navy. It was originally named Horst Vessel. The vessel was acquired in 1946 as a World War II war reparation. The ship was named the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, and has been used ever since as a training ship for future U.S. Coast Guard Officers. Eagle is based in New London, Connecticut.
