Rare and in investment-grade 'near mint' condition inside and out. This is old hobby shop stock that has not been sold retail until now. Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. These kits have a very interesting history. When the Gowland/Revell 'Highway Pioneers' burst upon the hobby scene in 1951, they started a hobby revolution. Plastic model kits were not new in 1951, but successful mass marketing of plastic kits was new. The sensation swept the country, and Gowland & Revell could not make the kits fast enough. The fact that the public was buying these models shocked the successful hobby establishment. One such manufacture was Hudson Miniatures. In the 1940s, Hudson had established a name in making 1/16 scale 'Old Timer' models of automobiles. These were excellent kits with wood and metal parts, but a high degree of skill was required to carve and finish the wood parts. In the late 1940s, they added some injection molded plastic parts (usually acetate wheels) to the series but did not consider a completely plastic kit. When Hudson saw what was happening with the Highway Pioneers, he began to design his own 1/32 scale line called 'Lil Old Timers', which hit the stores in 1954. An early paper fold-out catalog shows 18 models including some real gems like the 1910 International Harvester Passenger Car, 1911 Brush Delivery Truck and 1906 Columbia Electric Car just to name a few. The line was bought by Revell a short time after it's release, and Revell did reissue some (but not all) of the kits. As you would expect from Hudson, this is a nice kit with excellent moldings and detail for the time. The Mercer was perhaps the most famous sports car of it's day, and it can be successfully argued that it was America's first sports car. The 30 horsepower 'T' head 4 cylinder engine sped it along at over 80 miles per hour. A 1914 Mercer clocked 112 mph at Daytona Beach - no mean feat for that age.

Drag version is shown as 'Flashback' with Thunderbird V8 with fuel injection, tube headers and big slicks '...to put power to the pavement!' Optional parts include - 'Billet' style air cleaner and finned valve covers, exhaust headers and 'Paxton' Supercharger, bullet taillights, headlight housings and front grill, tilt steering column and 'street' wheel, 'Auto Trans' floor shifter, front bucket seats and twin rear seats and more. In amazing investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition inside and out. Dated 1961 with the great Jim Cox artwork that makes early Aurora kits so collectible. This issue has a slightly larger box than earlier ones. It is a nicely done kit for that time, molded in gloss silver and clear with full landing gear and clear 'Triangle World Map' stand. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The box has like-new color and gloss, four perfect corners, no creases or 'dishing' of the box top, no tape or tape marks (not even factory sealing tape), no fading and no tears. The only flaws include very, very light general wear and the original price tag on the right short panel. Please note, this is not a reissue of the Comet model. Aurora cut these molds years before acquiring Comet's F-100.

Rare. Dated 1938. Features a superb composite wood, fully formed hull that is ready for painting. The hull is in factory-new condition with no breaks or chips and is perfectly straight. Includes two sheets of high-quality printwood, various wood stock as required and excellent plans with full building instructions, assembly drawings, numerous detail drawings, finished elevations and even detailed rigging information. Never started and complete. The box is missing all four inner flaps and one end flap. The end flap that is present is not connected but included.

Very rare. Dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s. This is a full hull kit, that is very nicely molded and finely detailed for that time. NOTE: this kit has minor, neat assembly. The hull halves, prop and rudder & center deck have been assembled and the bow gun platform has been partially assembled (5 parts glued together). Quality of assembly is 'excellent+' to 'professional.' There is no other assembly and zero painting. I dry fitted the decks to the hull and they fit perfectly. The model kit has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Monogram clearly made some of the finest 1/24 kit for fit, finish and detail. This one is no exception. This model is the original 'Four Star' issue from 1961 in a 'very good+' hardbox. It can be built as a stock, dragster, street (from the box top) or the 'Jalopy' (as shown on the side of the box). The kit has over 150 precision parts molded in chrome, black, tan, clear and with real rubber wheels. Features rolling chassis build up like the real car, full underside and interior detail, wire wheels, Ford engine, Chevy V8 engine with carbs or blower, custom exhaust, roll bars, optional top, a large decal sheet and much more. Never started. Inventoried with all parts and instructions present.
