Revell F-105B Thunderchief - 'S' Issue, 1/75, H285-89

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

Sold

1958 first issue with dramatic hardbox artwork. Fantastic box in near-mint, investment-grade condition with like-new color and gloss and four solid corners. Aurora Lockheed F-90 Brooklyn - Famous Fighters Of All Nations, 1/48, 33-89

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

Sold

Very rare and correct Brooklyn hardbox issue. This is the second issue of this kit - the first was in a rather plain flip-top box. The box is very good with typical wear as shown and all four corners are solid. Inside, the kit is 100% correct for this issue. It is molded in gray and does not have landing gear or missiles. Decals and instructions are correct as well as the early clear rectangular stand. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. When Aurora issued it's first two plastic kits, they were copies of the Hawk Model Company's F9F and F-90 fighters. Reportedly, Hawk was not happy about this and there were some words exchanged at some hobby trade shows. Hawk attempted to hide it's name - one example was using rivets to spell H-A-W-K in morse code to prevent further use of it's designs. Fortunately, the incident was not repeated.

Monogram Air Force Patrol - B-66 Skywarrior (A-3A) / C-47 Skytrain / SA-16B Albatross Gift Set, MGP7-349

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM++

Sold

Very rare. Monogram did not issue many gift sets. To make matters more interesting, the ones they issued were very short lived. Many were simply sets of models in sleeves with no dedicated boxes. By 1960, the Monogram Gift sets were no more. This gift set, the Air Force patrol, is interesting because it's not just a sleeve; it has a dedicated box designed for this gift set. It is the one and only issue, dated 1957. The condition is investment grade; the box has no more wear than when it was removed from the shipping carton. The colors and gloss are as new with minor edge wear as the only flaw. Inside, the three kits are still individually factory sealed, including the tube of Monoglue. Also includes the original "Monogram Model Merry Christmas" box wrapper, also in fantastic condition - these seldom survived the opening of the kit. Overall, a hard-to-find kit in factory new condition.

Due to the popularity, subjects were still being released into the 1960s. Molded in glossy olive green and black. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
