Rare. Tamiya's early armor models were the finest works of the mold maker's art and the very top of that line had push-button remote control and dual electric motor operation. This is one of those kits, featuring factory-assembled, all-metal gear box with two RE-14 electric motors, hand-held remote control, factory wired switch and control unit, metal hardware and a very well detailed model kit of this excellent US tank design. Never started and inside it is like new. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Decals are still in the factory sealed bag also and are in 'near mint' condition, as are the instructions. The box displays better than 'very good' but is graded a such because there is some side corner wear not visible in the photo; nothing serious, but certainly visible when you look from the side.

In an attempt to make the superb but very expensive 1/8 car molds pay off, Monogram issued some parts separately as accessories for any larger car models. The entire line came out in 1963 and consisted of AK201-59 Six Carb Assembly, AK202-59 Oval Gas Tank, AK203-79 Drag Race Set, AK204-79 GMC Blower Set, AK205-79 Chrome Wheel Set, AK206-100 White Wall Drag Slicks and AK207-79 White Wall Tires. Sales were very weak because all of the 1/8 scale car kits were very expensive for that time, so and the line was discontinued.

Very finely molded in silver & clear plastic and features a basic cockpit, pilot figure, rotating five blade propeller, separately molded ailerons, elevators & rudder, optional folded or 'flight' position wings, drop tank, wing-mounted rockets, full landing gear and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Air Lines kits all utilize Frog molds and the Lines Brothers exported them to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on the back of each box; the trading card illustrations show only the artwork and do not have the Air Lines logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.

The most amazing part about this example is that it is 100% complete, right down to the never-used tube of AMT Plastic Filler Body Putty, sandpaper and velor upholstery material. The kit features all parts needed to build one of three versions - detailed stock 283 engine, complete 409 CID 'W' head blower or carburetter engine, engine stand, full stock interior, custom interior with bucket seats, roll bar, custom wheel and gear shift, telephone with bracket and stuff alligator, optional stock hubcaps, mag wheels or custom bladed cap, standard tires or racing slicks, chassis with separately molded rear differential, shock absorbers, traction masters, front A arms and front lower suspension unit, detailed engine compartment with opening hood and stock or custom '57 Buick grill. Furthermore, the "Minor Stylizing" section of the instructions shows more included features such as whip antenna, spotlights, fender mirrors, three piece car show trophy, custom front pan, clear tube grill with Corvette type vertical grill, scoop aerials and roof scoops, horizontal tail fins, rear roll pan, nerf bars and bubble fender skirts. The more radical 'Top Chopping' and major 'Stylizing Options A and B' display how to chop the top and use the included clear lowered 'bubble top,' a wild front end extension with Lincoln-style custom headlights, extended hood and 'pancake hood' insert, wild deck body extension with custom bullets, rear grill and tail lights and more. The kit is molded in white, clear, red-tint clear, two trees of chrome parts and rubber tires. It has never been started and has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, factory sandpaper, AMT Body Putty, upholstery material, white wall tire sticker sheet, large custom/racing decal sheet and complete instructions. NOTE: the decals are peeling badly and in poor condition. There is a deep tire burn on the custom deck extension, the inside of one fender skirt and the inside hood (does not show on the outside of the hood).
