Topping Martin SM-68 Titan ICBM - Factory Model, 1/68

Rare factory model from about 1957 or 1958. Missile measures 18 inches high. Includes original box in excellent condition with inside packing materials. Model 'stages' as the actual missile did. The model is mint and original. No restoration has been done and there are no flaws. The original base in in the same condition. Titan I was the USAs first multi-stage Interncontinental Ballistic Missile. Designed in 1955, it was originally a back-up for the Atlas program. Titan was larger than Atlas and was also seen as an early space launch vehicle. Titan was stored in hardened underground silos. The arrival of solid fuel Titan II and Minuteman I missiles in 1963 made Titan I obsolete. The follow-on, Titan II became a major workhorse in the space program and served well as a heavy lift ICBM.

1960s 'Type Three' logo issue. Very nicely detailed and molded kit. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Rotodyne first flew in 1957. The purpose was to create the first true vertical take-off airliner that could operate from an area no larger than two tennis courts with a full load. The Rotodyne flew at up to 191 MPH with a range of 450 miles and a payload of 48 passengers or 5 tons of freight. Despite the excellent performance and a larger design in the works, the RAF never placed an order and BEA never placed a firm order. The project was discontinued in 1962.

KVZ Mil Mi-4 - Civil DDR / USSR / Polish / Czech, 1/100

KVZ was the logo used by this East German kit manufacturer from 1969 to 1973. During this time, some fantastic Cold War kits were produced of Russian Aeroflot Airliners and Military Helicopters and Aircraft. Comes with colorful markings for DDR, Polish, Russian and Czech versions. Molded in silver, black and clear and with original clay nose weight and factory glue. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Yunyj Tyechinik Antonov An-24V 'Curl' - Aeroflot, 1/154

Classic Cold War kit. This is a 'Yunyj Tyechinik' release and not the earlier MZMPI. This company succeeded MZMPI (which was the first kit manufacturer in the USSR) and continued till a new name was introduced in the mid 1970s. This model is an in-flight version with a stand and clear prop disks. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. The kit did not come with decals.

KVZ Mil Mi-10 K Aeroflot, 1/100, 5022

Large Soviet helicopter with a unique gondola below the cockpit for the crane operator. KVZ was the logo used by this East German kit manufacturer from 1969 to 1973. During this time, some fantastic Cold War kits were produced of Russian Aeroflot Airliners and Military Helicopters and Aircraft. Never started. Complete except for 1/2 of the clear gondola and 1 small wheel.

This aircraft is an interesting part of the Bf-109 family line. The M 35 was a successful light sport acrobatic aircraft from 1933. The redesign was designated M 37, which became known as the Bf-108 Taufinthe lead-in to the famous Bf-109. Never started. Pioneer 2 Mirage III EA and Argentine Dagger, 1/72, 4007

Minicraft 1912 Ford Model T - (ex-Union / Entex), 1/16, 1508

Large-scale model with very good detail from ex-Union molds. The kit has over 125 parts and has working steering, opening doors, real rubber tires and full interior with 'outside' seat. Molded in dark green, black, clear and brass plated with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. The Ford Model T was perhaps the most popular antique automobile in the United States. Over 15,000,000 'T' cars were built. It was the first truly mass-produced car in the world, and one of the few cars known around the world by many generations.

ITC Dornier Do-X Flying Boat - (DoX), 1/156, 3721

Famous German Flying Boat of the 1930s. Dornier dreamed that this huge aircraft would become a trans-oceanic airliner. Passenger traveled in ocean-line like luxury. A tour of South and North American was conducted, but orders never materialized due to excessive fuel consumption and a lack of power. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Lindberg Convair XFY-1 - Vertical Take-Off Fighter, 1/48, 526-98

Dramatic Ray Gaedke artwork. Rare early issue from the 1950s. The Convair VTO was a Navy program for a high performance zero-length take off fighter. The aircraft flew well but transition from vertical/horizontal and back was tricky. This, combined with the performance of the new jets signaled the end of the program in 1955. Comes with boarding ladder. Molded in the correct high gloss silver and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'.
